Omake 18: “Catch a Tail by the Tiger”
After an ass-full of Method to Mad Libs, it’s time for some real cartoon talk. Before getting back into the anime swing, Kevin and I have some business to attend: A new show to pitch for the Disney Afternoon.
In the final score of the 20th Century, Disney built up an impressive catalog of characters and series through the Disney Afternoon. From the Wuzzles (I count it!) on through to its swan song, The Mighty Ducks.
Through adult eyes, we’d like to revisit our wholesome childhood characters, but through a more mature lens. Bonkers carried the settings established in Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, but it failed as a spiritual successor. We’d like another stab at Disney in the noire genre; this round with a more modern cast of characters and maintaining an adult tone. We want a series about Hollywood murder and debauchery…you know, that we can watch with our kids.
