Space Thunder Kids… Oh the sweet blissful ignorance I took for granted before investigating this video. It occurred to me to apologize for sharing this anime with you, our faithful fans, but NO. I refuse to assume any ownership in the existence of this commercially animated abortion. Seek this video out at your own risk, but heed our words as warning.
This is more than just the worst anime ever made… It is an Arkham horror, marking all those who witness it and sentencing them to psychological descent. Like Nick Cage said in 8MM: “There are some things that you see, and you can’t unsee them.”
Get used to scenes like this.
In the Method to Madness podcast, I’m joined with my good friend Kevin “The Business” Gray to discuss great anime and video games that you should be watching as well as ones you should feel ashamed you are watching.

Oh. My. God. You had to bring this to light. Yes, I to have seen this movie, and I to own it as well LOL.
This is 90 minutes of my life I will never get back, and do get feelings of regret on occasion.
I got this movie back at a GameStop in Holly Springs NC back in the spring of 2007. I was looking through the DVD rack and lo and behold, I saw this in there. I saw the cover and thought “well, its 5 bucks, ill check it out” (Yes, GAMESTOP sold this for 5 dollars to PEOPLE LIKE ME when i could have gone to Wal Mart next door and paid 1 dollar for it, which I didnt know about). I mean look at that cover, can you blame a mech fan/anime fan like me to turn something with this cool of a cover down, all photoshopped and what not. I think about a week later or so, I sat down to watch it having no clue what i was getting myself into and started watching it. I remember how cheesy (but kinda cool for a garage band) the names were for the mechs which if i recall, Solar Mack 1, Tiger SX 3 and Zoar Tech 2. Oh my god i got that right. After that, laughter of soberness and the feeling of wasting my time watching this hit me at certain points.
At one point im like “When is this thing over?” Eventually, it did end, and I think i was full of cheap laughs and the feeling of “why did i watch this sober” felling all at once. Even after the movie was over, I had to DOUBLE CHECK the back of the dvd case (Gamestop sticker and all) and re-read the description and going “Huh, well, none of that stuff happened anywhere in that POS.”
Its in the back part of my anime dvd shelf, enclosed away like it was ment to be. But, there is another Digiview movie i do have that I think i will watch if i ever have a parasite in my stomach that i need something terrible to watch to puke it up along with my organs, and thats Space Transformers. I have no clue what it is, and Im really not sure if i want to. If you wanna review it, I will be glad to mail you my copy on a “rental” basis if you feel that lucky to watch it.
I also thought “Man, I wanna work at Digiview, so i can just write BS on a DVD and state ‘yea, kids will buy it’”. The only thing I do want to pay a dollar for from digiview is the Sky Surfer Strike Force DVD. I wish i picked up a copy when i did. All I know about that show is a main character is named “Soar Loser.” Im dead serious, that is a guys name in that show.
I think ive said what i need to say. You Sean (and yes, Kevin) have done something only you, I, and a few on this earth have done and seen, and that is this movie.

We need to join together to form a support group–the victims of Space Thunder Kids, et al.

Yea, those Vietnam vets have nothing on us anime fans. We have seen things those people cant imagine.
I might just have those STK flashback trauma moments and loose my mind on how that anime made no since and shout “THOSE TANKS NEVER END, THEY JUST KEEP COMING!”

My friend and I got the companion anime to this- Space transformers- BECAUSE the case was absolutely awful.
The anime itself did not dissapoint. While STK is nonstop disjointed action sequences, ST is nonstop innerspace ripoff/ acid trip. It’s wierd enough when the young girl’s body has an asteroid belt and planets in it, then it turns out one is a fantasy land with gnomes and goblins.
Keryep.

Well, the half Gundam thing on the cover was very 80′s detailed looking along with the dude about to shoot you, and the grid in the background? Yea, i dont get it either.
Man, I really dont know if i can watch ST even though you gave it away. It sounds to me playing Russian Roulette with 6 bullets in the chamber sounds more worth my time than watching that.

Ok, this is one anime that you guys can’t convince me to watch. Strike Witches sounds like Schindler’s List compared to this.

Hey, Sean pointed out that its like watching a kid with a pile of toys playing with them and your there with a note pad, writing everything down.
BTW, i did find a copy of Sky Surfer a couple of days ago. Ill… get around to it, eventually.

Kevin and I watched the Skysurfer Strikeforce DVD this past weekend. It really wasn’t that bad. The animation in the opening sequence was actually pretty good! It was clearly designed to sell toys in America, though.
What really makes it look cheap is that they included the BKN commercial bumpers. It makes it feel like they bootlegged their own stuff!

Wait did you get the Alien Attack DVD? As far as i know i think that is the only one out there.
When i saw a promo on my old Animaniacs VHS tape from 10+ years back, I thought the animation on the intro was awesome looking.
The guy i bought it from stated he got these DVDs a while ago, and apperently Walmart told him they were bootlegged and wouldnt sell half of what he had. And this is a corporation that had bootleg material on their shelves that they couldnt sell to people.

It might be that one… Kevin bought it and it’s at his place.
I do find it funny that a retailer openly admits that they can’t sell these DVDs, except to idiots…including the idiot dealers who scoop them up en masse expecting to make a profit preying on even bigger idiots.

I saw the DVD last night, which contained an episode where New Orleans gets knock out gas made by its own swamp, A 3D helment to prove our main protagonist with the blonde mullet that his father is innocent, where paintings come to life and clone people and aliens and the US army that has Colonels with ascots and sunglasses…AT NIGHT.
If I was that Cyborg villain, I would like it when that blonde chick called me father… or daddy :).

The DVD we saw had an episode where the villains flew to Los Angeles and engaged in a dog fight around World Trade Center.

Wait, the one where they tackle that giant USA missle by pulling random red chords to steer it!?!? Yea, the “triangular” World Trade Center. I remember at that point I was almost done on my second Bacardi Mango mixed with 3 Supreme stuff crust pizza slices to not really care.
Yea, that was on the DVD i got too.
