Folklore and Disgaea: Infinite have recently been satisfying our pangs for gaming. “Satisfying”, I use generously.
As much as we have to say about these games in this podcast, we have so much more to say about just about everything else. Mostly turtles, rats, pizza…just about every ingredient for an unconscious Ninja Turtle discussion, if not for the inclusion of horrible, horrible internet memes.
This should be all the reason you need to play Disgaea.
In the Method to Madness podcast, I’m joined with my good friend Kevin “The Business” Gray to discuss great anime and video games that you should be watching as well as ones you should feel ashamed you are watching.

I always took the games or at least Disgaea as another version of the Persona game series.
Alright two things that got my attention. One was Pizza Inn. Your right, its not that great but they did something cool with the deserts though. Ive had fond memories of CiCi’s pizza when I hung out with friends at the one near the Cary mall and stuffing Area 51 arcade full of quarters, this was about 2000/2001 or so. As for Pizza Inn, when you guys said “cheeseburger pizza” I was reminded about a year ago when I was on lunch break with some friends, and one of them gave the other one the phone number to the place and when my friend called them he yelled “MAKE ME SOME F***ING CHEESEBURGER PIZZA” and hung up. When we arrived, little did know, it was there, hot and fresh ready to eat.
As for PS3 games, I really got my system for one reason, imports. So far the only 2 that I have are Inital D Extreme Stage and Gundam Battlefield Record UC 0081. The gundam game is a blast, it has online mode and updates to customize your gundams depending on which side your on, the more battles you win, the more points, more customization. Sure, it looks like that POS Gundam Crossfire game (which to me, isnt as bad as everyone made it out as) at first glance, but I happen to think its great. The Initial D game is just the 4th arcade game ported to consoles, but the japanese version does have an online mode, that i get stomped on, every time i play. It doesnt matter, I love it still.
Other stuff I have for the system is Heavy Rain, 3D Dot Game Heroes (Its a PS3 Legend of Zelda with lego’s, now how cool does that sound)and a few others i just happen to get to try out. Those 2 might be something to look into to review in the future. If you happen to find a fun PS3 import game, ill be interested in that. I can stray away from Gundam and Initial D to try whatever japan can put out.

Wow I have to say, Gamestop and Cici’s sounds like a marriage made in Hell. I mean…are they going to bake game cartriges into pizza? (I know, they’ll probably set up arcades in there, but really.)
I’m not a big fan of RPG’s. Like most possessors of ovaries, I enjoyed Kingdom Hearts because it has a simplified fighting/inventory/party system and cutscenes every 2 minutes…and Donald.
Mark the baby meme as one more thing I wish was erased from my memory. Oh guro, you so crazy!
Thanks for the shoutout! My job’s going well. :)

Im expecting their commercials to be “Preorder [Game Name] and get 5 dollars off your next meal at Ci Ci’s pizza. Gamestop, power to the sellouts” and have their mascot in the background throwing up on all the pizza.
