Using (or abusing?) time travel to tap some vintage tail? Hey, Doc Brown did it in Back to the Future Part III, and frankly, I think he was on to something.
For this episode of the podcast, Kevin and I rescue ourselves from anime burnout by having a geeky back-and-forth about women and time travel.
The exercise is simple: What women (or men) would you travel back in time to meet and in what year? Post your answers in the comments or email them to us! We may even revisit this topic in a future podcast with your answers!

Honorable Mention:

In the Method to Madness podcast, I’m joined with my good friend Kevin “The Business” Gray to discuss great anime and video games that you should be watching as well as ones you should feel ashamed you are watching.

Hmm ok, here’s my WTF-ery list:
Jackie Earle Haley, about 1985 — This is the guy who was Rorschach in Watchmen. Most people don’t think he’s attractive, but he has beautiful eyes, his bone structure’s actually very handsome and his ACTING IS AWESOME and I love his voice. I would prefer sometime when he had um…more hair, which I guess would be around 1980′s. Here’s a pic of him younger, tho I think he’s a teen here — http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/craighoops/JackieEarleHaleysteps.jpg
Christopher Walkin – Late 70′s- early 80′s. I saw him in Batman and actually thought again, he had nice eyes and good bone structure. He’s also a really good actor. Something about the psychopaths…not sure. He was pretty handsome when he was younger —

Liiam Neeson, probably early 90′s. Um…I just love him. I love his voice and he’s badass. He is always in a suit and a great actor…what else to say? — http://handson.provocateuse.com/images/photos/liam_neeson_02.jpg
This is actually kind of easy for me because 90% of my crushes are older men (usually in suits). My girlfriends constantly tease me that I have a sugar daddy complex.^^;

Liam Neeson… I will say that as straight as I am, I admit to having a man-crush on him.
He trained Batman and Obi-Wan Kenobi. He freed the jews and the slaves. He was Zues and symbolic Jesus lion. Plus, he lead the A-Team and was in Taken.
If you go back to hit that, I want a full report.

HOW COULD I FORGET, Daniel-Day Lewis, early 90′s. Again he has great eyes and he’s a great actor. Um. I’d rather him keep the beard tho, it really suits his face. –http://waynesmovies.files.wordpress.com/2009/04/daniel-day-lewis.jpg

Much as Elizabeth Hurley is all Kevin’s, Kim Basinger is all yours. I never found her attractive, no matter how hard I tried.
But good call on Karen Allen! She was pretty sexy in “Raiders”.

I think Kevin had it right that the one flaw to this experiment is that people might not know who you are talking about. I’m 29 and I had no idea who from those 3 pics you had was Julie Newmar or Phoebe Cates. I had to do a search to confirm. I also think Kevin had much better choices (or taste in women).
It’s funny that his name is Kevin Gray and yet he is apparently “The Business” and NOT “The GREY Ghost”. This has probably been mentioned at some point by someone else.
I do think you had a good point about traveling forward and I commend you for having the guts or being drunk enough to go there. You made an excellent case with someone like Alissa Milano. More recently one could cite someone like Hilary Duff. When she was teen bopping it I never paid her a second thought. Then she grew up and started making music and I was like, “Whoa, when did she get hot?”
So yeah, it’s a little weird to think that far forward because you don’t want to come across as a pedophile, but the reality is that people grow up, and sometimes you can tell “she’s going to be real pretty when she gets older”. There’s nothing wrong with that. Hell, you see a lot of couples with 10, 15, 20+ age gaps, that means when they were like 20, their future soul mate was still in diapers. Now clearly no one looks at a toddler and thinks “can’t wait to hit that!” (no one sane at least). So the point still remains valid. That Hermiome girl probably will be hot (or I guess already is?) and speaking of which, that girl from Lemony Snickets (Emily Browning) will probably turn heads in the future too.
It’s one thing to be a creep, it’s another just being honest. It’s kind of like how guys will be hesitant to say “that’s a good looking man” because they don’t want to come off as gay so most guys will never give another guy props. OK I’ll shut up now.

IMDB.com. It is your friend and mine. It is also greatly due credit for what Kevin believes is my knack for recognizing people from stuff.

I never really dug Hilary Duff, but I did like how her latina friend from Lizzy McGuire turned out. (Google image that, my friend!) I was sad to see her die on Buffy.

Barbara Feldon- 1960′s, especially during the Get Smart run. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_VeGi-XrsuB8/SBCu1uq2dFI/AAAAAAAABHE/uJu52-n9jso/s320/BarbaraFeldon.jpg
Betty Page, during her photographic blitz during the 50s. http://images.andale.com/f2/101/100/7989689/1101414691737_Betty_Page.jpg
Elizabeth Montgomery- Samantha from Bewitched, also from that era. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/32/Elizabeth_Montgomery.jpg
Oh, and no need for time travel on Ms Watson.

From a English blokes view:
Felicity Kendal, from the classic TV show The Good Life. Ideal naughty wife material.
Eileen Daly, the cult scream queen. Yes she is only 43 years old and I still would at the drop of a hat, but go back 15-20 years ago and er woof woof!
Phoebe Cates, oh so hot!
As for honorable mention none realy spring to mind.

I already emailed this to you, but Im just showing off with this:
Alisa Reyes: alisareyes.jpg
The dark haired girl that was in the first few seasons of All That when it first came on to Nickalodeon back in 1994. I have always liked this girl and had a middle school boy crush on her for the longest time. She grew up hot, thank god for that.
Lacey Chabert: lacey-chabert-picture-1.jpg
Ok,granted shes not much older than I am, but she was someone I still would pick in a heartbeat if I was ever in the same room as her and was hit by a “Im the coolest dude in the room and women want to get with this” ray, I would pick her if she thought I was so awesome. But my first exposure to her was that live action Lost in Space movie and I thought the whole 2052 goth rave looked looked good on her (probably cant say the same now, but i was 12, and she was really hot at the time). I also find her attractive because there was a girl in my school who did look like her that I had a huge crush on, but like nerd guys in middle school who like the Jinco pants half goth chicks, it never worked despite my semi-badly done efforts of low self esteem “hitting on chicks” moves at the time.
Julie Newmar: julie-newmar.jpg
Yes, I did watch 1960 Batman as a kid in syndication during the early 1990′s, and I do like her as Catwoman. I just like her, shes pretty cool and seems like an awesome Catwoman to boot. And if you do a google search on her (like I did)… id did find her in that lingerie you talked about… and its bad, right on the first page at the bottom. Daaammnn, no.
Sharon Stone:
I bring her up for one reason, let along that reason being one movie, and that was Batman Returns. I DIG that secretary look with the business suit, slick back hair with the 2 or 3 bangs hanging down… yes, so f’n hot. She has these main things about her in that movie that I like, she has blond hair, she has it short, and she has it slicked back with bangs. I dig a chick that pulls that look off.

Lacey Chabert
Oooh… I had to give this some thought and I hate to do this, but this one’s disqualified.
First, she’s young and hot now. No need for a time machine; just go out an hit that!
Second, she was 15/16 when she did Lost in Space, which is kinda borderline creepy if in your current age, you’re eager to hop into the DeLorean to tap that ass in 1998.
I had a boyhood crush on Winnie Cooper when I was 11 and she was 14… As I’ve aged, my tastes in women in have matured and thankfully, Danica McKellar’s done well to keep up.
But thumbs up on Sharon Stone (rockin’ in the Total Recall!). Though of the All That crowd, I’m totally diggin’ how Amanda Bynes turned out.

Yea, Chabert is just the only girl in hollywood I really like. I did see most of Mean Girls because she was in it, and I would tell you its a great movie because she is in it, and its actually a good movie from what I saw.
I guess for me to go back in time would be me at 12 with enough cash to make it big in hollywood and then meet up with her with my “im a cool guy who plays pokemon and watches DBZ on toonami and plays Mario Party, wanna go out to Dairy Queen with me?” I guess i could do that now, if shes up for Mario Party.
Amanda Bynes turned out great, looks, career, all of the above.
You know, another girl I had a boyhood crush on was Jurassic Park Laura Dern. I was obsessed with her early to mid 1990′s and was sad because she really didn’t do anything after that. I really liked her character in the movie. I would take the Deloren to help her “get to the chopper” off Jurassic Park. Well… maybe.
